Brotherhood2

I just did this and nothing showed up but the title. Damn, and I was feeling so witty about half an hour ago. Here goes.

If you have ever watched the movie, Legends of the Fall, there is a completely romantic notion of brothers growing up together and it is beautiful when they are young.

It is that relationship I hope my boys have throughout their lives. Really all of them. Already it has begun. Nobu is now so much more interactive with us all, but it really has worked magic on his relationship with Attila. The other morning, Nobu was having a particularly difficult time and was crying and quite distraught. Soon Attila is leading him by the hand and saying, "It's okay Nobu, you'll be okay. Mommy's making breakfast so you can eat, and then you'll feel better." Nobu is smiling and looking at his big brother's face and he was assured and happy.

It can't get better than that. Of course, if Attila has any level of admonishing tones, Nobu is instantly broken hearted. Attila is learning the art of distraction, and often gives Nobu some toy to soothe him.

As for the pictures. The first is a neighbor's horse and both boys were thrilled to be on the big beast (actually a very good natured and steady creature). I myself have daydreams of my children being quite adept with a horse as they accurately shoot their bow and arrows. As for the second picture, this is at our local County Fair. What could be better then brothers covering each other's back? It all fits in with the warrior spirit, don't you think?
